Important information regarding your OPCO funding agreement

Training funded by a Skills Operator (OPCO):

What does the legislation say?

  • Only the hours of training planned, carried out and duly justified are financed by the OPCO (Skills Operator).

  • The OPCO funds what is strictly stated in:
    • The training agreement
    • The Training program

  • The OPCO covers the cost of training for:
    • The participants listed by name on the support agreement
    • The precise number of hours per participant indicated in the support agreement
    • The number of hours divided between synchronous videoconference sessions and asynchronous « microlearning » intersession exercises
    • The training period mentioned in the support agreement

  • The OPCO only subsidizes training after the services have been performed. The balance is the responsibility of the company.

Any change in the number and identity of the participants must be notified during the framing session, before the start of the first session.

What should the commissioning company do?

to ensure that their training costs are covered by the OPCO?

KESTIO - OPCO - learner

The learner must...

  • Be present at each session and for the entire duration of the session.
  • Complete all inter-session exercises
KESTIO - OPCO - sponsor

The sponsor must…

  • Ensure consistent participation throughout the training.

KESTIO training courses are all composed of:

  • 5 sessions of 2 hours of synchronous video conferencing, for a total of 10 hours
  • 2 or 3 hours of asynchronous microlearning (intersession exercises) between each session, i.e. a total of 8 or 12 hours depending on the chosen program (Study or Challenge)

The learner must therefore participate in the entire module (synchronous and asynchronous) in order for their training to be fully covered by the OPCO.

In case of non-respect of
the support agreement

In the event of an absence of a registered participant in the synchronous sessions or failure to complete the intersession exercises, the OPCO will not cover the cost of the participant's training. KESTIO will then directly invoice this amount to the company.

Tolerance granted
in case of absence.

A tolerance of one absence per session (per module of 5 sessions) is granted to each participant, provided that they:
inform KESTIO of their absence,
watch the replay of the missed session,
complete the intersession exercises related to it.

Specific scenarios

Sick leave

If a participant is on sick leave during their training, the client must inform KESTIO through a proof of sick leave of the participant, which will be communicated to the OPCO.

Resignation

Situation 1: The participant resigns before the training.
You must inform your OPCO (Skills Operator) to update the agreement; you can indicate another participant in their place. If there is no replacement, the OPCO reserves the right not to cover the budget for this participant in proportion to the total amount, which will then be your responsibility and will result in direct billing from KESTIO.

Situation 2: The participant resigns during the training.
The participant must then complete the training by attending the sessions and completing the challenges.

Layoff

The commissioning company commits to retaining all training participants within its organization, otherwise the OPCO will not cover the training costs, except in cases of dismissal for gross misconduct.
